Dashboard V2 Update
Dashboard V2 now allows users to view the Sentiment Score field in the message panel table. Like other fields, it can be toggled on or off from view and moved within the table as needed.
Alert Management Redesign
The Alert Management area has been given a fresh, modern look and feel. The layout and visual design of the Create Alert flow — including the empty state, tabs, and shared elements — have been updated to feel more consistent and polished. All existing functionality remains exactly the same; this was purely a design improvement.
Sentiment Engine Upgrade
Clearer, more accurate sentiment scoring is now available. A major upgrade has been rolled out to the Rant & Rave sentiment engine, moving overall sentiment scoring to an advanced AI language model. This upgrade dramatically improves how feedback is interpreted, scored, and explained, with no action required from your team.
Why This Matters
Until now, overall sentiment scoring relied on more rigid language patterns, which made it harder to consistently interpret nuanced, conversational feedback. The new engine better understands context, intent, and tone, resulting in more accurate and reliable sentiment scores.
What You’ll Notice
With the upgraded sentiment engine, you’ll see:
-
Context-aware sentiment scoring – Informal and nuanced language is interpreted correctly. For example, “Unreal service!” is recognized as positive feedback.
-
Score explanations – Every overall sentiment score now includes a clear, plain-language explanation of why it was assigned.
-
More confident, consistent results – Fewer edge cases and less time spent second-guessing sentiment across surveys, reviews, and open-text feedback.
-
More decisive overall scoring – We now analyze the overall sentiment of each piece of feedback holistically, rather than deriving sentiment solely from individual topics mentioned within it.
-
Fewer “neutral” classifications – Feedback that previously appeared neutral now more accurately reflects whether sentiment is positive or negative.
-
A clearer picture of customer opinion – More accurate overall sentiment gives you stronger insight to act with confidence.

How Sentiment Is Scored
Rant & Rave uses multiple sentiment analysis methods, each serving a different purpose.
Rant & Rave generates a single overall sentiment score to track sentiment trends over time. It also applies sentiment at the Insight and Topic level to support topic detection and deeper analysis. All insight and topic sentiment tuning configured through Local Knowledge remains unchanged.
What's Next
This is just the beginning of our sentiment analysis improvements. We're currently working on enhancements that will help you:
-
Identify topics within feedback more accurately.
-
Surface insights that are more relevant to your business.
-
Spot trends and issues faster.
We'll keep you updated as these improvements roll out.
What You Need to Do
Nothing. The upgrade rolls out automatically on 2 March 2026. Your data, workflows, dashboards, and integrations remain unchanged. Improved scoring and explanations apply to feedback received after launch.
Contact your Customer Success Manager with any questions or reach our team at rr_support@mobilecommons.com for additional support.
This upgrade makes Rant & Rave an even stronger partner in understanding and responding to your customers.
