Mobile Commons: Updating the legislative districing data (Completed)
Information
The Mobile Commons engineering team is currently in the process of re-geocoding all of the locations on the Mobile Commons platform. This process is already in progress and is planned for all the states to make sure we have up-to-date district-location match data after the recent legislative redistricting process that has been conducted in the US.
Please note that this process is very time-consuming due to the sheer number of records/locations that need to be re-updated. Our engineering team expects that this task will be completed within the coming weeks.
In the meantime, if you have plans to run any critical advocacy campaigns soon, please feel free to reach out to mc-support@uplandsoftware.com or your customer success manager flagging the states and the expected dates for these campaigns so we can work with the team and prioritize these states to be processed sooner.
The current status
Note: Alaska, Delaware, North Dakota, South Dakota, Vermont, and Wyoming haven't done redistricting on the congressional/Federal level, only on the state level. So, you should be good to run mconnect/advocacy campaigns in these states on the congressional level.
The table below will show the current status of the re-geocoding process on our side. (The re-geocoding process for all the US states is complete as of 3/15/2023)
