What's Changing
Mobile Commons is relocating our Single Sign-On (SSO) authentication service from AWS (United States) to AWS (European Union). This change supports our global infrastructure strategy and maintains consistent data protection standards across all regions. There will be no change to the login process for your users.
We know you've seen several security-related updates from us recently, and we understand this can feel disruptive. These infrastructure improvements are part of a planned program to strengthen our security foundation and better protect your data moving forward.
What This Means for You
Following the migration, when your employees and authorized users log into mCommons or Waterfall, their authentication credentials will be processed through our EU-based SSO infrastructure.
What Data Is Being Transferred:
This migration only affects authentication data for your organization's users (employees and authorized personnel who access the platform). This includes:
- Username and password verification
- Multi-factor authentication
- Session management and access tokens
- User account information (name, email address, role)
What Data Is NOT Being Transferred:
Your customer platform data remains unchanged and stored in its current location. This includes:
- End-customer contact information (mobile numbers, email addresses, subscriber data)
- Message content and campaign data
- Analytics and reporting data
- All other business data processed through our platform
Only the authentication credentials of your organization's personnel are affected by this change.
US Privacy Rights
For US residents and businesses: Various state privacy laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and similar legislation in other states, provide rights regarding how personal information is processed.
Under applicable state privacy laws, individuals whose data is processed may have rights including:
- Right to know what personal information is collected
- Right to request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Right to request deletion of personal information
- Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (note: Mobile Commons does not sell personal information)
- Right to receive personal information in a portable format
The specific rights available may vary depending on the user's state of residence and the applicable law.
Note: If a user exercises their right to deletion of their authentication data, their Mobile Commons user account will be closed as authentication credentials are required to access our services.
