Refining your Taxonomy

As you receive new feedback, you will find that your taxonomy will need adjusting to cover new terms and optimize coverage. To assist with this, the taxonomy builder includes two tabs that highlight areas the taxonomy does not cover:

Uncategorized terms - terms that are contained in your project feedback but not in the taxonomy. You can add terms from this pane to your taxonomy by dragging a term and dropping it onto a folder in the taxonomy tree.

Tip: the count on the term shows how many times the term is used in feedback, providing you with an indication of how useful it would be to categorize it.
Uncovered feedback - items of feedback where none of the terms in the feedback have been categorized, i.e. the whole item of feedback contains new terms and should be considered for review.

Note:

By default, the taxonomy builder assesses the 5000 most recent verbatims. To change this, open the action menu and select filters. On the filters menu, enter the quantity of verbatims to use and press the OK button.
By viewing the feedback metadata, you can determine which taxonomy version was the analysis conducted against.

Issue Checker

You can use the issue checker to avoid duplication in the taxonomy and to keep it clean and tidy. The issue checker goes through all terms in the taxonomy and locates items that are similar.

Note: if the issue checker identifies two similar words, e.g. app and application, it will assume they are similar and should be merged unless you have set one of them to an exact match.
