Available November 11, 2026. The IOS and ANDROID preview tabs arrive in the November 11, 2026 release. Until then, the preview shows one phone.
iPhone and Android show RCS messages differently. The phone preview next to your message lets you switch between the two, so you can see how each subscriber will see your message before you send it.
Switch between iPhone and Android
Above the phone preview, select IOS or ANDROID.
- RCS messages open on IOS.
- The tabs only appear for RCS messages. For a text or MMS message, the preview shows a single phone.
You'll find the tabs in these places:
- The Conversation step, while you build the message
- The broadcast page, after you send
- RCS reports
- A/B test variants and the winner snapshot
What the iOS preview shows
The IOS tab shows how iPhone lays out your message:
- Action buttons: One button shows normally. Two or more collapse into an Options menu.
- Suggested replies: They show as a list below the message or card, and stay on screen.
- Long card text: It cuts off after a few lines. Select the arrow to see the full title and description, then select back to return.
- Carousels: Cards show one at a time with a "1 of N" counter. Use the arrows to move between cards.
For what each difference means for your design, see Design RCS Messages for iPhone and Android.
Try the conversation
You can walk through the conversation in the preview:
- Select a suggested reply to see the message a subscriber gets back.
- Select the same reply again to hide it.
- To start over, select RESET PREVIEW below the phone. On the broadcast page, select the reset icon at the top of the preview.
What the preview can't show
The preview is a guide. A real phone can still look different:
- Large text settings: On iPhone, a large text size can crop the image or push it out of view.
- GIFs: iPhones show only the first frame in a Rich Card or Carousel.
- Image cropping: Each phone fits images to its own screen and settings.
Before you launch, send a test to both an iPhone and an Android phone. For more information, see Test your RCS Agent before launch.
