INBOX REPLIES/SENT SMS
The texts showing in either of these places will show as From: and then either a mobile number or a name
- When a text is sent or a message comes into an inbox Rant & Rave does a look up in its contact directory to try and find that number against any contact/user/administrator record it has registered for that company
- If it finds one then it will pull back the name associated to that record and display this in the From area of the inbox/sent message box
- This is irrelevant if the list a text was sent to held that name, or not.
- In the case that a text was sent to an imported list which might have a name showing on the list. It will not show that name in the sent messages unless that mobile number has an actual contact record with a name associated to it in the directory. It will not pull the name from the imported list record
- In an inbox text the same applies it will show a number unless the mobile number the text is sent from is a contact in the customer directory with a name associated to it.
