Replicated what the customer did and found/not found an issue
Details
If a customer reports issues with sending texts - could be either they cannot type in a text, click the send button, the page does sticks, whatever it might be, to replicate this follow the steps below
- Log into your RA account
- Put in the company name and the surname of the person (or the generic user name) of the person who is having the issues
- click on search
- Click on the name of that person when it comes up and you are in their account
- Select User Settings
- View User settings
- take a note of their user name and password
- close down your RA screen
- Open up desktop and type in the username and password of that particular user - you are now in their account exactly the same as they would be
- go to Text
- New text
- Click on clear in the top 'To' section
- Click on the arrow on the dropdown box in this area and select 'add contact mobile number' this removes the name of the user so that you can now add your mobile number in
- Type in your mobile number in the mobile field
- Click on Add number
- In the 'From' section untick name if it is ticked
- Type you message in the left hand message box - suggest Rant and Rave Test and then put a time
- **Click Send and you should receive the text message within seconds
- If you click into sent in the menu on the left you should see your text and then be able to click on view and see it confirmed - this may take a minute or two
**If the issue is with sending texts or receiving replies into the users own inbox**
- Before clicking send click enable replies
- Then click send
- When the text is received by your phone it will show it coming from a mobile number
- Click reply on your phone on this text message and type in replypath test Rant and Rave and the time
- Go to the Inbox in the menu on the left (under text) and you should see your text message that you have typed
**** Please be aware if you are sending these texts internationally for checking, it may not have the same outcome, depending on where you are sending the text, within the world****
If you are able to successfully type the message and send this from the application and then receive that text message to your phone, all is working OK. The same applies with replypath
