HOWDENS DEPOTS SHOULD NOT IMPORT CUSTOMERS INTO BLOCK LISTS
If they do this can easily be reversed however a very important thing is that they MUST NOT send any texts or emails out until 24 hours after they have reversed this process
This is the reason why
- If they put people on the block list and then later remove them they are putting them back on to the directory
- However in the meantime these people could well have opted out through the normal opt out process
- If they are then imported back into the directory from taking off the block list there is a possibility that these people may again be live
- So advise the customer to wait until after the following morning from when they have reversed their error and put their import through to take off block list before sending out any texts/emails
- This will give the overnight update process time to fun and ensure that all of the customers they have live are the ones which should be
To reverse the process if they have made a mistake and imported a list into a block list this can be reversed as below
- in their HTML email account
- Go to Features
- Lists & Users
- Realtime block lists
- import
- email addresses
- On the dropdown go to remove matching entries from the block list
- Fine the file they used previously and in error to put them on there in the first place and load
