Custom backend task that was responsible for collecting the data/profiles and subscribes them into the campaign. Checked with the dev. team and had this turned off per customer request.
Details
Per this JIRA ticket [MC-14288] Sierra Club | Ended campaign issue - JIRA (atlassian.net), it was noticed that some profiles continued to received messages from and ended campaign. Investigation showed that there was a custom backend task that was built previously for Sierra Club and it's responsible for collecting the matching data/profiles and subscribes them into that campaign. Confirmed with the client that we are good to shut this task down and the dev. team did turn it off.
