Wrong start and end date interval was first used and that caused the innacurate usage alert to trigger.
Details
The client reported receiving the allotment/usage notification below (136% used). This is not correct because the usage alerting option is built to trigger email notifications at 70% and 90% usage.
Checked the setup of allotment and it looked good.
Checked with Sylvia Gewont, their CSM and she mentioned that she first attempted to setup their allotment and usage alerting on 9/15 and she first used an inaccurate start and end date interval then later fixed it. That wrong interval was the reason why the alerting was triggered with this inaccurate information above.
Cause
- Wrong start and end date interval was first used and that caused the inaccurate usage alert to trigger.
- The interval was later fixed by the account manager right away.
