Resolution Summary
Information on how advanced targeting on the state level works (choosing the closest legislator from a list during the call).
Details
Ideally, to route users to state-level legislators, the system will need their full addresses to be able to identify their state legislators and route them directly. If we don't have the full address of the caller, it will be hard for the system to accurately identify the state legislators and route the caller directly. The typical behavior the system would do in this scenario is to route the caller to the switchboard number for the state legislature as a failover behavior/process.
We do have another feature to use in scenarios where it's not easy/possible to collect users' full addresses before the calls. This feature would basically provide a list of the closest state legislators to the caller during the call to choose from if we have their zipcode and we are able to accurately determine the legislator.
You can enable this option in any mConnect by checking the box "If we don't have an exact district match, let users choose reps from a list"
Note: To turn on this feature for your account, you will need to reach out to your CSM or, to Support through mc-support@uplandsoftware.com
