Symptoms
When the Keywords don't get recognized if they contain foreign/accented characters.
Error (If Applicable)
Resolution Summary
Provided guidance on how to use accented characters in keywords.
Details
- There are some foreign/accented/special characters supported by the platform. Those characters are: èéùìòÇØøÅ寿ßÉÄÖÑÜäöñüà. Those characters are considered independent characters and should be added as separate keywords from the English character keywords.
EXAMPLE: If the keyword Apple is being added in an opt-in path, and users text the word Àpple, the word will not be recognized as an opt-in keyword. You will need to add a separate keyword with the accented A 'Àpple' for it to be identified as an opt-in keyword. - For any other accented/foreign characters that are NOT supported by the platform "i.e. á-í-ó-ú", those should NOT be added in any opt-in keywords and have to be replaced with the English characters.
EXAMPLE: If you added the keyword Friend in an opt-in path, both Friend and Fríend will be identified as opt-in keywords.
