Answer
Recordings are audio files that can be played when users call in to your mConnect campaigns. Recordings provide an opportunity to:
- Provide talking points, or say thanks for making the call, before routing their call
- Simply Play a brief message and end the call
- Play a brief message, and ask users to leave a voicemail message for you
Be sure to check out our Recordings Video!
Create your Recording(s)
To build your audio recording head to the Recordings tab (Phone Calls > Recordings) and either upload an audio file of your own or call into our system to record your message.
Your callers can be offered the option to bypass the recording by pressing #; if you have a long recording you can mention this at the beginning of the recording
Upload your Recording(s)
If you have a WAV or MP3 file you would like to upload, just click Upload Recording. You can either drag and drop the file into the upload section, or browse the file from you computer.
Call to Record
If you’d rather just call to record a message/audio file, click Call to Record. Call the number on that page, enter the pin when asked to. Press 1 to record the message, press 1 again to save when done, or press 3 to play back the recording, when done, press 1 to save, or 2 to delete and re-record.
These audio files will never expire and can be used to create multiple recordings/with multiple mConnects.
Working with your Recordings
To play an existing recording, simply click the Play Button Icon.
To download a recording from your Mobile Commons account to your computer, click the Download Icon.

Adding your Recording
To add a recording to your mConnect, select your mConnect and then select "Edit Details" under mConnect Actions. Then go to "Audio Prompts and Language Options".
The Audio Prompts and Language Options menu will allow you to select your recording(s) for the mConnect. Audio prompts can be in English and Spanish. If providing Spanish language options callers can optionally "Press 1 for English" when they call.
- First, select the audio language for prompts for callers. You can choose "English", "Spanish", or "Caller Chooses".
- Then select the English recording. Callers will hear this recording before they are connected to their final destination number.
- If providing a Spanish option you will select the Spanish Recording next.
