Drawing a Winner through ‘Randomizer’
- Within your HIP, click on ‘Interactions’
- On the left hand side bar menu under ‘Campaigns’, click ‘View’
- Change the drop down under ‘View Campaign info for’ to (ALL)
- Find the campaign you’d like to draw from, hover over it, a yellow box will come up and you will want to click ‘randomizer’ to the right of the campaign title, which will load the program and lead you to a series of options.
- ‘Consider entries after this date only’ and ‘Consider entries before this date only’ – This allows you to select the dates you need to draw from/within.
- A series of questions will allow you to further clarify the eligibility of those entered to win:
- Do you want to eliminate duplicate entries? This allows everyone who has entered the campaign to be given equal opportunity to win (no matter how many text entries were received) or allow for duplicate entries to increase odds for those who entered more than once. Select Yes/No
- Once a consumer has won a prize, should they be prevented from winning further prizes within this campaign? – This constraint limits prizewinners within a certain campaign to only be able to win once or be eligible every time a prizewinner isdrawn(i.e. drawing from the same pool of entrants once a week for weekly prizes)
- ALLOW only Consumers with this attribute as part of their profile? and DENY entry to any Listeners with this attribute as part of their profile? – This allows you to select specific attributes you want listeners to have or not have when drawing your winners. (Ex. A contest winner from a previous draw)
- Exclude these mobile phone numbers from participating in this campaign. – This allows you to type in any phone numbers you do not want the system to draw from, e.g. company employees
- Most of the time you will also avoid this feature so that you can draw from everyone who entered, AND because the HIP allows you to ‘Re-draw’ if you’re unhappy with the selection it has made.
- Number of people entering by Alternate Means Of Entry (eg: fishbowl) – Fill in the number of people that have entered the contest by any other means beside mobile entry. If one of these people is drawn it will tell you which number one. (AMOE #4 or #7…etc)
- Prize and Quantity –Enter the prize in box #1 and then the quantity of that prize in the corresponding box. You can enter up to 10 types of prizes and their quantities – the HIP will automatically assign winners to prizes and fulfill all quantities provided.
- Click ‘Make The Draw’
- You will be given a phone number or an AMOE number at the bottom of the page and you can click on that phone number to see their profile history – i.e., what contests they’ve entered, what prizes they have won before, etc.
- If you are not satisfied with the phone number that has been selected, click ‘Re-Draw’
- Once you’re satisfied with the phone number that has been selected, click the checkbox next to the phone number and click ‘Add Profile Info’ in the box to the right.
- Type in the prize in ‘Detail Value’, example $50 Gift Card, and then click ‘Add New Detail’. After you’ve clicked ‘Add New Detail’, click ‘close this window’ in the upper right corner.
NOTE: This is important in order for you to track your winners and eliminate those consumers that have previously won prizes/promotions. This also must be done if you want to send a message to the non-winners. - If necessary, click ‘Export Results’. This is essentially a printout you can print for any records you might need a hard copy of the contest/prize winning for. Once you’re done viewing this window and/or printing, click ‘close this window’ in the upper right corner.
NOTE: If you close out of the randomizer screen before you have copied or printed your winners, your winner page will not be saved so it is important that you keep a record of winners. - Finally, click ‘Send Message.’ If you’d like to notify the winner via text message. This will pull up a box that you can type in the Congrats text message then click ‘Send Message’ when you’re complete. Be sure to stay within the character limit. (160) These messages often let the winner know that they will soon be contacted about their prize, or give the winner a phone number to call to claim their prize.
- Once you’ve sent the message, it will take you to a window to let you know your message has been sent and you can click ‘close this window’ in the upper right corner.
