Your account Director will need to enable the opt-in gate functionality before you can set it up.

1. Login to your HIP
2. Click on the ‘Interactions’ Module
3. Under Campaigns on menu bar: Click ‘Manage Optin Gates’
   

   

4. You will be taken into the Opt-in Gate page and you will choose ‘Create optin gate’.
   1. Fill out the name of the Opt-in Gate.
   2. Fill out the message. This is the message that includes the correct reply keyword to complete the opt-in.
      • Example: Hipcricket: Reply Y to consent to rcv future mktg msgs from Hipcricket at this #. No purchase of goods/svcs required to join. Msg&data rates may apply
   3. Fill out the keyword that you used in your message.
      • “Y” as used in the example above (your keyword needs to be a confirmation type of keyword; YES, OK, CONFIRM, CONSENT…etc.)
   4. ‘Always Challenge’ - Check the box if you would like the challenge sent every time someone tries to opt-in, regardless of their status in the system.
   5. Click ‘Create Optin Gate’
   6. This Opt-in Gate will now show up in your list of drop downs under the Optin Gate option when creating a campaign. The double opt in box must be checked when using this feature.
