Hipcricket: On-Air Window
Environment
Hipcricket
Resolution Summary
Provided instructions for On-Air Window
Details
A full-screen version of inbound messages. This feature allows you to log-in and interact with listeners – you can view all incoming messages, polls and results. This is also where you can reply to requests, questions, comments and shout-outs. Phone numbers of those interacting appear on the left-hand side. Each time someone interacts with a station, an attribute is added to their profile and a history of their interactions is created. Stations can reply, block or file messages in the On-Air Window.
There are currently two versions of the platform you can access:
- Classic: client.hipcricket.com
- Beta: client.beta.hipcricket.com

On-Air Window: New Features & Symbols
- Message reload: options are now 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 30 seconds or 1 minute.
- Search: You have the ability to search the on-air window messages by typing in the box in the upper left. The search will return all matching messages with that word(s)/number(s).
- Export: Clicking the export link, will export an .xls document of all the messages in the time frame chosen that have come into the On-Air window. This will include the phone number, message and time/date.
- Notifications: If you check the box associated with “notifications” in the top right, you will be notified by a sound on your computer, each time a message arrives in your window.
- Twitter Feed: Feeds can be turned on to show up in the On-Air window. Please see documentation below specific to the new Twitter module.
- Replies: All replies will now show automatically within the On-Air window and the conversation area. They show in green along with the login name of the person that replied.
- When you click reply to respond to a request, a box will pop up that will provide you with two options; the option to type in your own message, or the option to choose a preconfigured reply to the listener.
- Preconfigured replies allow you to enter several different standard replies that may be used frequently. When using one, just click on the reply you would like to use on the right side and it will populate your reply box to the listener, then click “send message”.
- You have the ability to create additional preconfigured replies by typing one in the box on the right and clicking “add new reply”
- New Symbols:
- Check mark indicates that a reply has been sent to the end listener
- Red circle, when clicked, will block an end listener so their messages do not show up in the On-Air Window
- Arrow, when clicked, initiates the reply to the listener
- Push pin, when clicked, enables you to file the message away for review or reply, to one or multiple numbers, at a later time.
